Smooth sailing breeds an atmosphere of indifference, a taking-for-granted approach to the people, events, and circumstances that make comfort commonplace. I have a tendency to take things for granted and am really working on being more aware of that and changing it. Thanks for a great story. Glad to hear you are having so much fun taking care of your man - they are the BIGGEST babies!!! Hope Brad feels better soon, no surgery required. I have fond/scary memories of Isabelle as well - had Asher in the only hospital in town that had power!!!Kathynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11562481.post-62753385195057605832009-10-05T08:27:05.187-04:002009-10-05T08:27:05.187-04:00This makes perfect sense to me. Being the "injured party" in my own family scenario (emergency double tooth extraction Friday qualifies me, I think), I can attest to a profound sense of gratitude that my family has not left me lying by the figurative side of the road while they continue with their life activities. I was carried along to church and told, "Don't worry about standing and singing - just enjoy hearing it this time." Dinners were fixed for me, and Percoset scored (BTW, I have leftover Vicodin, but it makes me yak). Tell your husband we hope he feels better, and we can form our own support group!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14881059992610823584noreply@blogger.com
